Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Senior SEO & Digital Performance Manager to take ownership of the performance of our web properties. Reporting to Sr. Manager, Website Experience, this person will collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to enhance page performance, investigate traffic trends, and implement SEO strategies in partnership with external agencies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving B2B user conversions and optimizing our web properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Ownership:
- Lead the optimization of the corporate website and directory pages, focusing on traffic generation and user engagement metrics.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance pages as primary traffic sources for B2B buyers and Employee Resource Data (ERD) submissions.
User Experience Enhancement:
- Conduct usability testing and user feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement in page design and functionality.
- Ensure pages are mobile-friendly and perform well across various devices.
Agency Collaboration:
- Work with SEO and digital marketing agencies to enhance the visibility of high value pages, ensuring best practices are integrated for on-page and off-page optimization.
- Manage and coordinate projects with external partners to align with Payscale's objectives and branding.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, engineering, product, and design teams to ensure that pages are optimized for user experience and performance.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment of page content and strategies with business objectives.
Traffic and SEO Analysis:
- Analyze website traffic data, user behavior, and conversion metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Botify, or similar platforms.
- Investigate traffic drops and identify root causes, formulating actionable plans to improve performance.
Content Strategy:
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure pages feature up-to-date, relevant, and engaging information that meets the needs of B2B buyers.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform content updates and enhancements.
Reporting and Insights:
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform future strategies and optimizations for pages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance management, or SEO, preferably in a B2B context.
- Proven experience managing complex digital projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in web analytics tools (GA4, Search Console, Tableau, Salesforce).
- Experience working with engineering and technical teams to implement website optimizations.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools (Botify, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing performance issues.
- Experience with content management systems (Wordpress and/or Webflow) and familiarity with coding languages, such as JavaScript, React & HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise directory websites is a huge asset.
