Your role and responsibilities

Our Video Producer plays a pivotal role in the video production process, approaching each task with meticulous attention to detail and a creative flair. A successful candidate will manage the day-to-day studio operations across two studios in Austin collaborating with a small team.

Production management is a larger portion of this video producer role than usual. They collaborate effectively with their team and stakeholders, leveraging their understanding of virtual collaboration tools and social media trends. Their responsibilities include testing hypotheses, proposing solutions, and executing creative concepts independently or as part of a team.

By analyzing audience engagement and making data-driven recommendations, they continuously strive to enhance the quality of future video content. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Approach video production in a structured manner with attention to detail.
  • Manage multiple shoots across two physical studio spaces.
  • Manage production planning tools to keep team up to date and schedules clear.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, considering various audiences.
  • Show proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and new age technologies.
  • Propose solutions for validation by more experienced colleagues.
  • Understand and clarify video production direction.
  • Apply creative vision to projects, focusing on key focus areas.
  • Work collaboratively with production team members to complete projects.
  • Keep up to date on latest production trends across cameras, lighting, and technology.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

+3 years of experience at:

  • Video production, including shooting and editing.
  • Managing a physical studio space, including lighting and cameras.
  • Green screen shooting and best practices.
  • Production Management tool experience and expertise.
  • Experience with industry-standard equipment and tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with Virtual Production and The Volume.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part-time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
