Analyze digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs). Interpret and add design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements. Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP, and TDP. Incorporate required changes as applicable. Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

This position is intended for the CVN 80 Piping group within department E92.

Must Have

Associate's Degree in relevant field and 1 Year of relevant experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to an Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

Nice to Have

Piping (X42 or Design) background, preferred.
