Senior Content Editor Job at Ignite Visibility LLC in San Diego

Ignite Visibility is a fast-growing and award-winning digital marketing agency at the innovation of creativity, technology, and data within the national to local digital marketing space. Our content team plays a critical role in shaping how we communicate with our audiences—and now we’re looking for a talented Sr. Content Editor to lead the charge in creating compelling, high-impact content for national to local clients.

The Sr. Content Editor is responsible for owning and managing copy edits for various internal and external clients and industries daily.

Essential Functions

1. Edit and proofread all written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
2. Fact-check all content to ensure accuracy
3. Ensure that all content meets the client’s style guide and is aligned with the company's marketing goals
4. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of content
5. Manage the editorial calendar and ensure that all content is produced on time
6. Monitor web traffic and user engagement to track the effectiveness of content
7. Deliver all completed work to the account team
8. Create and maintain client-specific content guidelines
9. Attend client calls when needed
10. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of editing experience with a focus on SEO writing best practices
2. 5+ years of agency experience is desired
3. BA in English, Journalism, Communication or a related field is desired
4. Proficient with Google Docs or related software
5. Experience with Monday.com
