Position Summary

The PostBaby Bliss Foundation is seeking a highly organized and proactive Grant Writer (Volunteer) to support our organization's growth and secure funding for programs, initiatives and operational needs. By integrating our team, you get the exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping us achieve our mission through grant research and proposal development. This key role involves managing administrative tasks, scheduling, writing, communications, and coordination to ensure the smooth operation of the Foundation’s initiatives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about supporting a mission-driven organization. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in nonprofit management or contribute their expertise to a meaningful cause.

We are looking for someone who is interested in individual giving pathways and fundraising.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Research/Identification and Prospection 

  • Research funding opportunities/grants and funding sources, using … 
  • Match the grant opportunities to the needs, mission, vision and goals of the organization;
  • Understand the funder requirements. 


Proposal Development 

  • Create and adapt the grant proposals to the needs of each funder;
  • Revise and proofread proposals to ensure clarity and alignment with the funder priorities, as well as meeting formatting, word limit and documentation requirements;
  • Develop budgets alongside with the Finance and Project teams; 
  • Coordinate and gather documents (attachments,letters of support, organizational information and timelines);
  • Create and make sure that the plans and proposals also meet the long term plans of the organization priorities. 


Collaboration and communication

  • Engage with stakeholders in order to obtain information and align project goals; 
  • Maintain a constant and open communication with funders to keep the projects running.


Grant Management and Reporting 

  • Track applications, deadlines and outcomes;
  • Craft reports with progress and final reports to meet funder requirements.


Other Duties as Assigned

  • Support the leadership team with additional tasks as needed to advance the Foundation’s mission.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education & Experience:

  • Healthcare background is a plus 
  • Graduation in the fields of Communications, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • Previous experience with Grant Writing and proven success in secure funding through grants. 


Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Research skills;
  • Already know foundations in the area;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to learn and work independently 


Personal Qualities:

  • Passionate about supporting postpartum families and advancing the Foundation’s mission.
  • A proactive, self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.


Time Commitment

  • Flexible schedule with an average commitment of 10–15 hours per week.
  • Ability to attend occasional virtual meetings and events.
