for the Worldwide (WW) Government industry, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and adoption of Microsoft solutions within the government sector. This role involves developing the overall government narrative collaborating with global stakeholders aligned to strategic growth bets around data & AI, cybersecurity, sovereignty, and resilience.

Responsibilities Market Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that align with the strategic priorities of the WW government industry. Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to establish audience insights and identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Influence vision and strategy for solutions that meet the evolving needs of governments worldwide. Define go-to-market strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, customer advocacy, and retention. Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives using data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement. Positioning and Messaging:

Craft compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging that resonate with government customers. Create Messaging and Positioning Frameworks (MPFs), content, sales enablement, and other materials to help scale our efforts across marketing and sales channels and partners aligned to our industry strategy. Cross-functional Orchestration:

Serve as the marketing subject matter expert for the government industry representing and advocating for the needs of the business. Lead and support cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies. Share demonstrated best practices with internal global stakeholders to improve marketing and business performance. Stakeholder Collaboration:

Engage with government leaders to understand their challenges and advocate for solutions that support the needs of audiences across all government verticals. Build relationships with key government partners to drive impactful marketing programs. Thought Leadership:

Establish Microsoft as a thought leader in the government industry by creating and promoting content that highlights our expertise and solutions. Develop and lead marketing strategies that position our products and solutions focused on durable differentiation. Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in business OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in business Experience working in government or in developing and executing marketing strategies for the government sector. Additional or Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience marketing or selling into government audiences Experience in product marketing. Demonstrated ability to synthesize audience insights, and develop positioning, value propositions, and messaging. Cross-functional global leadership experience working with engineering, sales, and marketing teams, with the ability to create clarity, align shared priorities, and influence virtual teams to deliver successful outcomes. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to audiences including internal teams, customers, and leadership. Proven ability to operate with autonomy, making informed decisions based on data and common principles to ensure the success of the project or team. Knowledge of Microsoft products and solutions, particularly in the context of government use cases. Demonstrated ability to drive thought leadership and establish industry presence. Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
