Senior

Account Executive

with 4-5 years of professional PR experience.

Candidate must demonstrate experience in the luxury travel industry

and general knowledge about best-pitching practices, top outlets, trends, angles, and more.

A proven track record of securing media placements is required. Senior Account Executives are an important member of every account team at the agency. They are responsible for media pitching, as well as merchandising and packaging results, conducting research, and preparing various client correspondences. Senior Account Executives must demonstrate excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. In addition, they are expected to work with senior staff to offer creative campaign suggestions and ideas regularly. They are proactive, take initiative, and manage up. Key Areas of Responsibility Media Relations Develop lasting relationships with key journalists and editors Drive impactful media results for all assigned accounts Pitch local, regional, and national publications including print, broadcast, and online outlets Help book media tours and press trips Track and monitor appropriate editorial calendar opportunities Create top target media distribution lists Draft press releases, bios, backgrounders, and fact sheets when necessary Follow and stay on top of trends and updates across traditional media and social media Keep a pulse on all media, researching new media outlets and uncovering new/appropriate contacts Read important media outlets regularly; become familiar with key newspapers, magazines, trades, websites, blogs, and broadcast outlets Identify key influencers, maintain lists, coordinate visits and deliverables Client Relationships Attend client calls, meetings, and presentations taking the lead on specific speaking roles Accompany clients on media tours and press trips when appropriate In some cases, serves as the client's day-to-day contact/point person Merchandising Prepare client activity updates Work directly with the account coordinator or junior team members to track publications and client placements Merchandise media placements in a professional and effective manner Spearhead finalizing annual media exposure summaries and ROI documents Account Management Write and edit press releases, pitches, press kit collateral, and other documents Prepare meeting and conference call agendas and meeting recaps Assist supervisors with various tasks to ensure accounts are being serviced properly When necessary, conduct industry research Interview clients in advance of drafting press materials Responsible for ensuring media clipbooks are well organized and up-to-date Responsible for keeping the team calendar up to date for calls, meetings, etc. Agency Wide Responsibilities Participate in training and development workshops, monthly companywide meetings, account team meetings, internal team meetings, and ongoing agency brainstorming sessions Share media successes with the M/O social team to further merchandise the teams work
