Graphics Process Unit (GPU) Engineer,
you will play a critical role in the design, engineering, development, deployment, and use of software for the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) where we support our client’s mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise. This is a 100% on-site position. All work must be performed at the customer site in Bethesda at the Intelligence Community Campus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work closely with DTP system architects, systems, software and test engineers on key tasks. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to define, develop, and optimize GPU architectures, ensuring they meet performance, power efficiency, and feature requirements. Work with operating system developers to ensure smooth GPU integration with Linux-based systems. Contribute to the design and development of GPU hardware. Develop and optimize applications using CUDA or OpenCL. Analyze GPU performance, identify bottlenecks, and enhance performance across various applications in Linux. Create and maintain debugging tools and performance analysis software tailored for Linux systems. Work on power management techniques to optimize GPU power consumption. Design and execute tests to validate GPU performance and functionality on Linux. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations within the GPU industry. Experience and education required for this role: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant systems engineering experience. Proven experience in GPU architecture design, and GPU performance optimization. Expertise in operating system integration for Linux. Strong understanding of computer hardware architecture. Knowledge of parallel computing and graphics algorithms. Familiarity with GPU debugging tools for Linux. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate within a team. Strong communication skills. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or BASH. Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, etc. Must meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements. Desired experience for this role: Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services. Published research or contributions in the GPU industry. Experience with machine learning frameworks on GPUs. Knowledge of GPU virtualization and emerging Linux-based technologies. Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring.
