Communications Manager – Episcopal Ministries of Long Island EMLI seeks a Marketing and Communications Manager to work closely with the Executive Director to develop and execute the marketing and social media strategies of EMLI. We're looking for a strategic thinker with experience in copywriting, content creation, and social media growth.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for managing EMLI’s digital media platforms (website, social media, and list-servs); writing and editing communication and fundraising materials; capturing and sharing key mission moments and activities; and executing communications and fundraising strategies. EMLI is affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, which has jurisdiction over Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau and Suffolk counties. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a cohesive brand across all platforms including social media, website, and all other outward-facing activities. Source and develop content for print and digital media. Write and edit marketing and other communications and fundraising collateral including newsletters, flyers, announcements, or other materials. Coordinate with a freelance graphic designer for newsletters and other projects. Oversee upkeep of our website. Manage and grow our social media audience through organic and paid social content. Build a strategic social media calendar, with a consistent stream of engaging visual content. Monitor and report on content performance and metrics. Manage online community engagement by responding to direct messages, comments, and follower inquiries. Critical Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills. Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, task-oriented work style. Design (Canva), photography experience, and artistic skills are a plus. Able to travel throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island for on-site projects. Preferred: Familiarity with The Episcopal Church and its mission and/or fundraising experience. Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience with social media and digital marketing. College degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). This is a part-time hybrid position. Approximately 15 hours/week. Office located in Garden City, NY. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
