Associate Director of Marketing and Recruitment

KIPP TEAM & Family is our network office that includes support teams dedicated to empowering our schools and ensuring the success of KIPP students throughout New Jersey and Miami. Our schools are part of the nationally recognized “Knowledge Is Power Program” network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools dedicated to preparing students for success in college and in life. Here's what you should know: The Associate Director of Marketing and Recruitment will oversee the intersection of marketing strategy, student enrollment, and staff recruitment efforts across our three regions. Reporting to the Managing Director of Marketing, Communications, and Enrollment, the Associate Director will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging, managing and executing cross-platform advertising campaigns, and refining value propositions for individual schools and the network. Here's what you'll be doing: Enrollment & Recruitment Marketing: Develop and implement annual marketing plans and editorial calendars to support student and staff recruitment. Collaborate with SRE & Talent to create marketing materials and campaigns for student & staff recruitment. Collaborate with school leaders and stakeholders to refine and communicate school and network-level value propositions. Develop clear and impactful messaging for diverse audiences, including prospective families, staff, and community stakeholders. Lead content strategy for all social media platforms to engage families, staff, and the broader community. Campaign Execution & Content Management: Manage digital platforms, including websites, social media accounts, and HubSpot marketing campaigns. Segment and analyze target audiences to tailor outreach efforts effectively. Oversee digital marketing campaigns across social media platforms, Google Ads, and other digital channels. Manage email campaign creation, including writing and editing. Track digital performance metrics and prepare regular reports with actionable insights. Manage lead generation systems in Newark, Camden, and Miami, ensuring region-specific strategies. Analyze results and provide data-driven recommendations to achieve enrollment and recruitment goals. Strategic Planning & Leadership: Work closely with school leaders, regional teams, and external partners to align marketing and recruitment strategies with organizational goals. Manage a marketing coordinator, fostering collaboration and innovation. Manage the marketing and recruitment budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving targets. Analyze ROI on campaigns and adjust strategies as needed. As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above essential duties and responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE Experience in designing and implementing effective marketing campaigns (digital, print, OOH, events). Knowledge of target audience segmentation and data-driven marketing. Understanding of brand positioning, storytelling, and value propositions. Familiarity with best practices for K-12 student recruitment and outreach. SKILLS Highly proficient in Excel. Experience with customer relationship management systems (CRMs) and analytics. Excellent written communication skills to craft messages, narratives, and written campaigns. Proficiency with social media platforms and marketing automation workflows. Experience with creating marketing materials and content across different channels. ABILITIES Able to work cross-functionally across regions, teams, departments, and schools. Talent for building strong relationships. Aligning marketing & recruitment strategies with organizational goals. Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in marketing, recruitment, or a related role, preferably in education or nonprofit sectors. Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, and audience segmentation. Proven success in managing multi-channel advertising campaigns and measuring their impact. Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across regions. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
