JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Designer is responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and systems used in the manufacture of pumps and related equipment. This role involves creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software (Autodesk) and generate detailed engineering drawings. Review customer requirements and specifications to ensure designs meet functional and performance criteria. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs. Conduct design calculations and simulations to verify the performance and durability of components. Develop and maintain design documentation, including part lists, assembly instructions, and bill of materials. Evaluate and resolve design challenges and propose solutions that improve product quality and performance. Perform design reviews and make necessary revisions based on feedback from team members and customers. Ensure compliance with industry standards (such as ASME, API, ANSI) and company quality procedures. Coordinate with suppliers to source materials and components needed for designs. Assist in creating and implementing product improvements and modifications based on customer feedback or performance data. PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in rotating equipment or pump manufacturing. Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with API, ASME, ANSI, and other industry standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. WORK HOURS: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Overtime and weekends as determined by project/company necessity. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or design materials (up to 25 lbs). Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the office and manufacturing floor. SALARY:
