We are 300 people worldwide with offices in 15 countries varying in size from 3 to 65 people. The business is structured across 3 divisions: Media – monetizing airline assets through advertising sales and brand partnerships Inflight Entertainment – providing content for airlines’ entertainment systems Content Marketing - providing content creation and digital services to clients Spafax is part of the Specialist Communications group within WPP Plc, the world’s largest advertising and marketing services group. As a Spafax Media Account Executive, based in the New York City area, you will leverage your robust relationships with local agencies and brands, coupled with a consultative selling approach, to drive significant revenue for airline media. Your responsibilities will include generating sales revenue through a diverse range of advertising solutions, including out-of-home (OOH), broadcast, digital video, integrated content, and custom experiential marketing. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and self-motivated media sales professional with a proven track record in cold calling, negotiating, closing new business, and managing accounts. Your extensive contact list will enable you to swiftly close deals and consistently meet monthly targets. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets, while maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities. Media Advertising Advocacy: Champion airline media advertising placements and confidently pitch our solutions to potential clients. Consultative Selling: Conduct comprehensive client consultations to understand their marketing goals, target audience, and budget. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain key relationships with decision-makers at advertising agencies and brands in NYC and surrounding areas through regular face-to-face meetings. Reporting and Forecasting: Manage the sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and sales activities using Salesforce for maximum efficiency and visibility. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various internal divisions to achieve sales objectives. Networking: Attend industry events and conferences to promote services and generate leads. QUALIFICATIONS: Established Network: Strong connections with NYC agency contacts and a proven history of increasing revenue through strategic relationships. Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for developing long-lasting relationships with media clients and their agencies. Presentation Skills: Advanced skills in presenting to individuals, groups, and executives, both in-person and remotely. Advertising Knowledge: Familiarity with OOH, broadcast, digital, and experiential advertising a plus. Creative and Entrepreneurial: Innovative thinker with a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach, capable of developing big ideas aligned with client marketing objectives. Team Collaboration: Effective collaborator and partner across the company. Independent and Efficient: Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment. The department manager reserves the right to modify the job description or job duties based on the needs of the department or newly added department services. This position pays up to $70,000 - $170,000 (includes base and potential commission) and benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
