Description

We are looking for a User Experience Researcher to join our UXR team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work across our product portfolio at Verily and provide timely user research to products at varying stages of development. You will complete research projects using a variety of methods including literature reviews, interviews, usability tests, surveys, and others. You will work closely with researchers, designers, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that our products are safe, effective, user-friendly, and delightful to use. We are looking for individuals with experience conducting research (this could be social science, health, UX, marketing, etc) who are diligent, detail-oriented, can work independently, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities Preparing user research activities (working with recruiters to schedule study sessions, setting up and conducting usability sessions etc.). Conducting a variety of research methods including literature reviews, usability tests, qualitative interviews, surveys, and others. Executing human factors research to improve (and demonstrate) safety and effectiveness for our products. Analyzing qualitative & quantitative data. Reporting research findings and communicating findings from the study to research leads and other stakeholders. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS in Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, etc), Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or related field or, in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in an applied research role, with a demonstrated ability to distill research findings into concise insights and reports. Understanding of strengths and shortcomings of multiple research methods. Knowledge of basic statistical concepts preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, coupled with a proactive attitude / growth mindset. Preferred Qualifications

M.A/M.S./Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or related field. Experience conducting research in the health space.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000 - $136,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
