Role
Clarity Innovations is looking for an experienced writer to join a collaborative team in delivering winning proposals to Federal Government evaluators.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and own the proposal response from development through delivery
- Iteratively improve drafts using APMP/Shipley’s process
- Independently lead RFI/whitepaper responses
- Coordinate, participate in, and/or lead proposal planning and process check-in meetings
- Develop compelling narratives that engage readers and facilitate their understanding of complex technical material
- Review and edit section authors’ submissions for compelling-ness, completeness, and compliance
- Enact sound narrative and grammatical techniques for persuasive, clear, concise, and compelling writing
- Coordinate proposal graphics with graphic designers
- Conduct research and subject matter expert interviews
- Serve as book boss, volume lead, and/or section author for a variety of responses
- Provide feedback and mentoring to improve writing and the response process
- Use Clarity’s voice and writing style throughout their work products
- Maintain and control documents through good CM practice
- Communicate effectively with all contributors through written and verbal means
- Attend meetings in-person to adhere to security requirements
Requirements
- 4+ years federal Government contract cycle/response to proposal experience
- BA/BS Writing or Journalism or two additional years of doing this for Government Contracting
- Located within commuting distance of Herndon office (with understanding that Columbia SCIF should be coming online in 2025)
- TS//SCI
Preferred Qualifications
- APMP and/or Shipley's certified
- Generative AI for proposals
- MS and Google tool suites
