Huntsville Hospital is hiring: Wellness Services/Communication Specialist- part

Overview

The Wellness Services/Communication Specialist assists the Corporate Wellness team with the development of power point presentations, printed flyers for internal and external audiences, as well as a quarterly e-newsletter and corporate reports. This position will also deliver presentations on general health topics, so strong public speaking skills are desired.

The ability to learn and perform various clinical tests including blood pressure/pulse, vision testing, height and weight measurements, and body composition analysis is required.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or related field

Experience: Previous experience in communication/public relations focused position preferred. Strong design and computer skills are a requirement. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well. Must have a current valid Alabama’s driver’s license.

Additional Skills/Abilities: An interest in healthcare and the desire to learn is required. Prior experience with design software like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva strongly preferred. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment.
