A growing urgent care veterinary practice in Newport News, VA is looking for a skilled Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. This practice provides after-hours care for both canine and feline patients, bridging the gap between general practice and emergency care. The clinic is designed with efficiency in mind, offering a single-doctor shift model for urgent cases like wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Equipped with a cloud-based EMR system, digital x-rays, and a complete suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment, the facility ensures high-quality care and streamlined workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, relationship-based care to pets and their owners.
- Collaborate effectively with the clinical team and leadership to ensure high-quality care and a positive client experience.

- Contribute to the development and growth of support staff through the LevelUp training program.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including urgent care appointments and surgeries, during open hours.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
- Active veterinary license in Virginia (or the ability to obtain a license in the state).
