Overview:
The Licensing Manager, Publishing has an opportunity to work across the entire Paramount portfolio with some of the most iconic properties in entertainment. In this exciting role, the Manager will oversee and grow licensed partnerships to ensure the successful development and launch of products. They will develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate, and implement deals with new or renewing licensees, manage and grow our existing account base, and lead the development for respective products. The Manager will also drive collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure successful development and implementation of toy category business initiatives. This role will report directly to the VP of Global Publishing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, information, and related materials for licensees to improve development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products.
- Assist with forecast analysis by quarter and ensure consistent and timely financial reporting.
- Work closely with the following departments: CP LOBs, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, Standards, and Legal to ensure the best possible support for all franchises.
- Work closely with Retail Development teams to ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all key seasons throughout the year.
- Identify potential licensing opportunities by conducting market research, competitor analysis and staying abreast of industry trends.
- Assist in new business pitch presentations.
- Assist with development of plans and strategies to grow business and yearly revenue by managing existing partnerships and outreach to secure new business.
- Analyze and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a licensing or sales role, preferably in the publishing industry
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and solid time management skills and organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. retail landscape preferred. Global experience a plus.
- Proven track record in achieving/exceeding goals and objectives.
- Proficiency in navigating operational plans and processes.
- Leader as well as great teammate.
- Contributes to complex projects and develops solutions.
- Manages diverse projects and assignments.
Salary and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000.00 - 100,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
