Package Designer Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and execute creative packaging concepts
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align packaging with brand guidelines
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for packaging solutions
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
• Conduct market research to stay current with packaging trends and competitor offerings
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and obtain production quotes
• Ensure that all packaging designs comply with industry standards and regulations
• Provide mock-ups and prototypes for stakeholder review and feedback
• Optimize packaging designs for cost, sustainability, and manufacturability
• Conduct quality checks and oversee the production process to ensure design integrity

Package Designer Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
• Previous experience in packaging design or a similar role (4-6 years min.)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skills in packaging design
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and CAD programs
• Familiarity with packaging materials and manufacturing processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging design
• Proven experience as a package designer or in a similar creative role
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD applications
• Strong understanding of branding and consumer behavior
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
