Russell Tobin + Associates is currently seeking a Social Media Community Manager. This is a 11+ months contract with potential for extension/conversion for successful contractors!
Position: Social Media Community Manager
Location: Remote
Duration: 11+ months with possible extension
Pay rate: $47.00-49.00/hr on w2
JOB SUMMARY:
Key job responsibilities (Duties):
- The Social Media Community Manager role focuses on community engagement and crisis management support as part of the Dropbox Communications Team.
- You will play a crucial role in monitoring Dropbox mentions, managing brand reputation, addressing crises efficiently, and fostering meaningful community engagement. Your efforts will influence how the Dropbox brand is perceived by external audiences, ensuring we maintain a strong and positive presence across all social platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze all Dropbox mentions across social media platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Reddit, HackerNews, and other forums.
- Work with the social media team to synthesize Dropbox mentions and insights into social listening reports shared with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Support the social media team in addressing potential crises or responding to customer inquiries and feedback.
- Craft timely and thoughtful responses and escalate issues when necessary.
- Track social media trends, news, competitive insights, and shifts in the social media landscape to identify risks and opportunities.
- Analyze social media metrics and sentiment.
- Compile reports that will help inform strategy and demonstrate the impact of campaigns.
- Identify ways in which Dropbox can better engage with or nurture our social followers.
- Collaborate with External Comms, Customer Support, and Marketing teams to deliver clear insights and unified response strategies.
- Monitor mentions and sentiment on Dropbox executive social media channels.
- Identify areas of opportunity for engagement.
Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience working in social media community management for a brand or agency
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to maintain brand voice and tone
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sentiment and metrics, creating actionable insights that can be tailored to varying levels of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Reddit
- Proficiency with social media listening and analytics tools (Sprinklr or equivalent preferred) and/or native platform social reporting
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and respond to crises efficiently and effectively
- Willingness to embody Dropbox’s brand voice and tone
- Comfortable working in a Virtual First environment
