Position Summary
NMHC seeks a full-time Marketing Associate to jumpstart their career as part of our award-winning communications team. This entry-level position will play a key role in driving marketing campaigns that reach our vast key stakeholders—including members, the broader rental housing industry, and policymakers.
Responsibilities
- Implement NMHC marketing campaigns for NMHC events and products via email, social, and other channels.
- Develop and execute marketing automation initiatives, utilizing enhanced audience targeting across all NMHC marketing efforts.
- Support the development of NMHC event marketing strategy, including outlining channels, audiences, and content. Create, prepare, and deliver reports using spreadsheet software.
- Work with the Communications Associate on holistic communication strategies and timelines.
- Work with the Communications Associate to maintain web and email analytics dashboards and reports.
- Support NMHC communications initiatives to ensure deliverables meet objectives and deadlines.
- Support marketing of NMHC events and engagement opportunities and other onsite assistance for NMHC in-person and virtual programs.
- Work with the NMHC Web Manager to implement NMHC.org event and for-sale product marketing campaigns and maintain event marketing webpages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Broad computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of content management systems and/or email marketing systems. Other digital publishing platforms are a plus.
- Working knowledge of page formatting, image management, video, Photoshop, or similar software/technical knowledge.
- Demonstrated proficiency in creating and editing marketing copy and other written forms of communication for a broad audience.
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure and capably handle/juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Organized with an eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including but not limited to executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to be a team player and work independently with minimal supervision.
