Summary:
This is a full-time position in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will be residing in the DMV area. This position is responsible for creating high-quality visual communication materials that support the command's communication goals. The ideal candidate is a creative and skilled graphic designer with expertise in a variety of media, including print, digital, and video.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and produce a wide range of visual information products, including:
Brochures, posters, exhibits, and displays Digital signage and logos Technical and artistic illustrations Infographics and data visualizations Physical exhibits and displays Banners and signage
Utilize multiple mediums for communication, including digital signage, websites, social media, podcasts, and other products as directed. Edit and produce professional audiovisual products in accordance with DoD, Marine Corps, and industry standards, ensuring compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Provide expert counsel on graphic design and branding best practices, supporting updates to the command's branding guide and ensuring its consistent application across all visual information products. Assist in the creation of both internal and external communication materials, including print and online products, social media content, and digital signage. Ensure working and final files for all projects are uploaded to the Government shared drive within one business day of completion. Provide printing and production support for visual information products, operating printing equipment such as plotters, binding machines, and cutters. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in graphic design and utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. 5 years of professional experience in graphic design and visual communications. Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of design skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design software. Excellent understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and layout. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience with video editing software (preferred). Knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (preferred). Disclaimer:
