Position Description
Seasonal, summer, GIS Internship position which includes the performance of a variety of manual and technical tasks in the field or office. The GIS Team is part of the IT Division and works to support all City departments. Essential Job Functions
Creating maps, story maps, and ArcGIS Online applications Developing ESRI field applications for Field Maps, Quick Capture, and Survey123 Field data collection and editing with GPS unit Learning how Public Works utilities work together, as an integrated system Editing geometry and attributes by way of reading asbuilts Qualifications
Familiarity with ESRI suite of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Completion of one year of education in a GIS related technical program, GIS degree program, or related field Possession of a valid and unrestricted MN driver's license and reliable transportation Good verbal and written communications skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs Detail oriented, thorough, and well organized Ability to perform physical demands of the position
Supplemental Information Pay range of $17.78-$19.90 per hour, DOQ. 20 hours/week minimum.
Primarily an in-office position but flexible hours and remote work are potentially available.
