Job Description
Position Summary
Ravinia Festival is seeking a creative and detail-oriented part-time Digital Content Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing Ravinia’s digital presence. The Digital Content Specialist will monitor Ravinia’s online presence, manage and update web content, oversee content for the Ravinia app, draft engaging email marketing copy, write persuasive ad blurbs, and create captivating social media captions.
The Digital Content Specialist will be expected to work remotely for up to 35 hours per week and will report to the Integrated Marketing Manager.
Web Content Management: Regularly update and maintain the festival’s website content to ensure accuracy and relevance
Email Marketing: Write and edit compelling email marketing copy for newsletters, promotions, and event updates
SEO: Implement SEO best practices to improve content visibility and search engine rankings
Ravinia App: Manage and refresh the content for the Ravinia app, including event information, information pages, push notifications, and overall U/E
Blog Posting: Write blog posts geared towards Ravinia buyers and with the intention of improving SEO ranking
Ad Copywriting: Create persuasive blurbs for advertisements across digital and print media
Content Strategy: Align content with overall marketing strategies and collaborate with the Integrated Marketing Manager and marketing team
Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, is error-free, and maintains a consistent voice
Web Monitoring: Monitor any applications or websites that refer to Ravinia’s location or review Ravinia’s experience, including Google Maps, TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, Uber, Lyft, Apple Maps. Maintain accuracy and respond to comments when applicable
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in digital content and social media
Analytics: Assist in tracking and analyzing the performance of digital content to make data-driven improvements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Ability to interact well with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work well in a team environment
Excellent project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail; experience with Project Management systems such as Monday.com is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills and research abilities
Experience working with content management systems (CMS)
Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in or has the ability/desire to learn Google Workspace
A sense of collaboration, strong interpersonal skills, and interest in professional growth
This is a part-time, fully remote position.
Compensation: $24-27/hour, avg. 35 hours a week
Eligible for Illinois Paid Leave Plan.
