JOB DESCRIPTION

The Solidworks Designer position is responsible for the design and drawing of air-cooled heat exchangers and other heat transfer components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform design calculations per ASME code as required.
Review and apply project specifications and incorporate into fabrication drawings.
Serve as technical contact for the shop and outsource fabricators.
Coordinate with internal departments to establish information needed to complete all technical activities (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales).
Create and submit all customer approval drawings and calculations.
Coordinate with engineering to complete bundle and structural detail drawings as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

3D Solidworks modeling experience is required.
Experience with air-cooled heat exchangers or relevant structural design knowledge is desired.
General mechanical drafting knowledge and experience required.
Familiarity with weld processes and symbols for vessel and structural applications desired.
Experience with Driveworks Automation is desired.
