- Under general supervision, responsible for writing technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications. Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications. Researches available technical data including drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications. May work with engineers and other technical personnel to clarify document contents. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and two to four years of experience. Responsible for delivery of comprehensive technical training programs to employees. Follows methods and techniques to ensure legal and regulatory compliance requirements and guidelines are met. Gathers employee feedback and works with management to identify training needs and develop training courses
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, writing, and editing of RFP responses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to gather necessary information and insights for RFP responses.
- Maintain and update a repository of standard RFP content, templates, and best practices.
- Conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure all RFP responses are submitted on time and meet the highest quality standards.
- Proofread and edit documents for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency.
- Support the development of other technical documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate them into clear, concise language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RFPs or technical writing (internships, coursework, or previous employment).
- Familiarity with content management systems and document collaboration tools.
