Money Publishing Group is hiring a reporter who can write news stories about the biggest issues affecting Americans’ wallets today, contribute to sponsored content packages, produce evergreen explainers on a wide range of personal finance topics, and cover multiple finance beats at once. Candidates should love service journalism, have reporting experience, and know SEO best practices.

 

You will:

  • Research and write multiple articles a week on trending personal finance news that serve an email and a web audience.
  • Pitch original stories to Money.com’s editors.
  • Conduct interviews with experts, market and customer research, and evaluate companies across many industries.
  • Write evergreen stories that explain personal finance to a search audience.
  • Maintain a regular update cadence for top-performing pieces.
  • Contribute to “Money’s Best” flagship rankings.
  • Manage quality control of data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Help develop unbiased methodologies to rank companies based on cost, quality, and other important factors to help consumers make informed decisions.
 

You have:

  • A degree in journalism (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience at a news outlet or digital publication.
  • A love of personal finance.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

What We Offer

This is a full-time position and is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid leave, among other benefits. 

This job's annual base salary range is $65,000 - $75,000. 

The offered salary may vary within the posted range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, experience, training, job responsibilities, and location.
