Protestant Music Director Job at Ladgov Corporation in Great Lakes

Job Title: Protestant Music Director.

Job Location: Naval Station Great Lakes, IL.

Job Type: Part Time Job.

Schedule:

1. Conduct music for special services of worship: 10 units.
2. Play music for special Command Services: 5 units.
3. Lead volunteer choirs in both Chapels: 104 units.

Qualifications:

1. Clear understanding of Navy organization and the pluralistic ministry requirements that affect the use of Chapel facilities and staff.
2. At least two years of piano accompanist and worship musical leadership in a contemporary Christian church.

Duties:

1. Possess the ability to develop rapport and promote teambuilding within the Protestant volunteer choirs, praise teams, and other choral groups.
2. Notify the Command Chaplain (or Duty Chaplain) by telephone and email between 2-3 hours ahead of scheduled time when unable to perform services due to illness, inclement weather, or emergencies.
3. Provide a pre-approved substitute when unable to perform the services required. Command Chaplain must be notified of planned substitutions two weeks in advance of arranged absences (vacations and holidays).
4. Arrive for all services no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the service.
