Position Title: Part-Time School Librarian
Compensation Structure: Hourly
Compensation Rate: Rate of $25-$32/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Ideally 11:30 - 4:30 PM daily (flexible for the right candidate)

About the Position
APR is seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time School Librarian to support students and staff in accessing and utilizing library resources. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fostering a love of reading and ensuring an engaging, well-organized library environment.
Overview
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily library operations, including book organization, shelving, and cataloging materials.
- Support students in finding and selecting books appropriate for their reading levels and interests.
- Maintain a welcoming and orderly library space.
- Organize and promote literacy initiatives, book clubs, or reading challenges.
- Ensure proper care and inventory of library materials.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum and library needs.
- Demonstrated belief that all children can achieve their full intellectual and social potential
- Epitomizes APR’s values in all interactionsPrior experience in a school library or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable using library management software or willingness to learn.
- Assist students with research, using the resources available in the library.
- Passion for literature and supporting student learning.
- Ability to work independently and manage a structured environment.
