Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for a UX/UI or Product Designer in Austin, TX!

We will only consider candidates who currently live in the Austin metropolitan area. Out of town canddiates will not be considered. Relocation is not permitted for this position.

In addition, to be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind during the duration of the assignment. C2C is not permitted.
  • Be able to showcase your work through case studies and/or a portfolio. This should be narrative in nature and demonstrate your design process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design dynamic, interactive digital experiences and web applications (lead gen forms, calculators, etc.) inclusive of mobile/small screen requirements
  • Create net new DDS components and component enhancements in Figma
  • Work independently at times as well as collaborate with other UXDs and developers on design decisions
  • Follow established protocols around component design, file organization, Brand guidelines, etc.
  • Liaise with front-end developers (FEDs) on bringing your designs to life
  • Partner with the DDS UX Researcher on testing designs/components with end users
  • Ensure that detailed documentation supports the development, system user guidance, best practices, and publisher authoring guides to ensure successful implementation of the components
  • Become an advocate for the DDS within our client and with external agencies

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • Five+ years relevant experience as a UXD or related role
  • Familiarity working on a DDS and understanding of atomic-based design
  • Proficiency in Figma, including the ability to create components and document your work in Figma
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles, including layout, type, color, and composition
  • Experience with Jira and working with a product delivery team in agile processes to accomplish work within sprint deadlines
  • Understanding of current accessibility standards WCAG 2.2
  • Be a self-starter who can lead discovery work on new design patterns and experiences in multiple channels, including web, email, and app
  • Accustomed to using data and UX research to inform and iterate on design decisions
  • Comfortable working on a distributed team (i.e., DDS team members sit within other teams across our client) that operates collaboratively as one team on unified objectives within the same workflow
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Detail-oriented with a clear and polished communication and presentation style to clearly articulate design ideas and rationale verbally and in writing to developers, other designers, marketers, and decision makers
  • Ability to intake feedback and quickly pivot when needed

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.10 to $52.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
