Kaplan Kirsch LLP, a highly respected law firm based in Denver, with offices in New York City, Washington DC, and San Francisco, seeks a results-driven and experienced Director of Marketing to lead and oversee the firm's marketing, communications, and business development efforts for the entire Firm. The Marketing Director works to enhance the Firm’s reputation through the development and implementation of all phases of the Firm’s marketing strategy. The position involves a wide range of responsibilities from high-level strategy to less sophisticated—but equally important—production tasks such as producing marketing materials, maintaining brand consistency, proofreading, and all aspects of production of electronic or physical marketing materials. The Firm is deeply involved with—and sponsors—many professional conferences, and the Marketing Director will be intimately involved in organizing conferences, which may require travel and on-site attendance.

In this role, you will:
Under the Firm’s supervising partner, advance the firm's marketing, communications, and business development efforts. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of a marketing strategy, overseeing the Firm’s website and social media, conferences and events, and print and promotional materials.
Marketing Strategy (Development and Implementation)
Collaborate with senior leadership and vendors to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and designed to enhance the firm’s strong national reputation within the legal community.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve marketing efforts, market placement and implement innovative strategies in all firm markets.
Identify and monitor online and print trends to improve Firm strategies, visibility, and brand awareness. Maintain and organize e-mail marketing software.
Create and maintain an annual marketing plan and calendar.
Strengthen brand presence by ensuring consistent branding across all platforms.
Website (Maintenance and Social Media)
Maintain and update Firm website and specialized practice area websites.
Coordinate with attorneys on news alerts, announcements, PR, social media, and maintain content on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and multiple Google Business pages.
Supervise and coordinate the use of our website consultant.
Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve ROI and overall effectiveness.
Establish and maintain data collection systems across all marketing channels to drive informed decision-making.
Conferences, Events, and Awards
Assist with planning of meetings and conferences; develop schedules and assignments, working with speakers; coordinate with suppliers and vendors for all conferences; attend as required.
Coordinate with attorneys regarding written material (including PowerPoint presentations) for conferences (specifically the annual Airport Law Workshop and Rail Law Workshop)
Fulfill sponsorship obligations, including logo, guest lists, materials, and invitations.
Prepare and submit surveys, nominations for awards for individual attorneys and firm.
Print and Promotional Materials
Design, prepare, and update print and promotional materials for advertising, branding efforts, direct marketing, and presentations, including letterhead, envelopes, business cards, publications, and inventory stock.
Responsible for maintaining Firm brand identity, updating and reviewing all Firm materials for appropriate use of Firm logo, color identity, and other brand identification elements.
Prepare and promote consistent use of templates and branding standards for PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, email blasts, and client alerts.
Additional Duties
Backup and support of Proposal Writer.
Some travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
You will excel in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar field.
6+ years working in marketing for a professional services firm (law, accounting, architecture, etc.).

Ability to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Working knowledge of: HTML, WordPress, E-mail campaign software, Social media platforms, ERM, CRM software, Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent), and Microsoft Office Suite.

Position Details: This is a full-time position at one of our office locations. Periodic travel to the Firm’s other office locations may be required. The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience. We offer medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, STD, LTD, group term life insurance, 401(k), flexible PTO, and parental leave. The firm will also cover some public transportation costs.
