Mars United Commerce is currently seeking a Creative Director/Copy to work in a hybrid capacity from one of our office hub locations. This position leads their creative team on strategic projects, co-manages the client relationship, and oversees the quality of the team’s work. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking skills through examples of their work, be a dynamic presenter, and have recent experience working on innovative, integrated campaigns.

Candidates must reside in a commutable distance to one of these Mars United Commerce hub locations: New York, NY, Stamford, CT, Dallas, TX.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Create and maintain standards for quality of your team's work – give guidance on design and copy to help make the work truly shine while ensuring every project is approached strategically.
  2. Lead planning work and solve complex business problems with innovative, creative solutions.
  3. Mentor and inspire the team – whether it’s your direct report or a cross-functional team member we love when you share your knowledge and help the team grow.
  4. Help build team culture virtually and in-person, leading and participating in team events.
  5. Know the business of your client’s brand and the category – help us keep an eye on competitors and bring proactive thinking to the group.
  6. Build relationships across your cross-functional team and the agency.
  7. Collaborate with your business partners on opportunities for growth for our clients – help us identify and create award-worthy work.
  8. Bring killer presentation style and keep our clients engaged whether in-person or in virtual presentations.
  9. Put action to the department vision and goals as it relates to your team.
SKILLSETS REQUIRED:
  1. 10+ years and/or based on portfolio/experiences.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, English, communications or related field.
  3. Conceptual leader who is still hands-on and can lead by example.
  4. Passion for business and not satisfied with status quo – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned client/business.
  5. Deep knowledge of retail channels and the omni-commerce marketing principles – experience in the foodservice channel a plus.
  6. Motivational leadership, inspiring cross-functional team to deliver top performance against assigned business.
  7. Dynamic, creative personality effectively engaging and influencing a variety of audiences.
  8. Forward-looking and staying on top of trends and technology in the creative industry and related fields.
  9. Highly organized, self-motivated.
  10. Experience managing small-medium sized team previously.
  11. Mastery of applicable Mac software programs.
  12. Expert category knowledge in the businesses you lead.
  13. Ability to inspire, mentor and lead with servant leadership.
  14. Agile working style with the ability to adapt to various creative challenges while managing multiple businesses.

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
