About the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and support K-12 political bond campaigns through creative design across various mediums. You will collaborate with the marketing team, architectural designers, and external clients to create impactful visuals that align with strategic marketing objectives. Familiarity with social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube—and how to design content for each is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects at once, and capable of seamlessly shifting between creative and strategic tasks.

Requirements

Essential Duties

  • Corporate Brand Management – Implement brand identity and develop creative strategies to maintain a strong brand presence in the market while ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing materials.
  • Campaign Development – Conceptualize, develop, and execute compelling marketing campaigns for clients from brand identity concepts to digital and print collateral, such as flyers, direct mail, signage, social media graphics, web graphics, etc.
  • Strategic Planning – Understand, develop, and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company and client goals, encompassing digital marketing, traditional advertising, and other channels.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with clients, vendors, team members, architectural staff, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Communication – Effectively communicate marketing strategies, plans, and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Organization – Develop and maintain effective file and asset library organization strategies for collaboration with the team and company as a whole. Maintain records of project status, processes, billable time, etc.
  • Print and Pre-press – Implement knowledge of industry standards and best practices to ensure files are print-ready and quality of final printed materials across a variety of mediums, vendors, and print processes (offset and digital).
  • Team Leadership - Take ownership of projects from concept to execution, taking feedback, communicating with appropriate team members, and ensuring proper print and/or distribution of final materials with little supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a focus on layout and design for both print and digital platforms and brand development. Experience in industries such as Architecture/Engineering, Construction, Media Outlets, or Public Education is a plus.

Obtain and promote knowledge about design, technology, social media, content production, bond planning, and multi-medium campaigns.

Continuing Education/ Expertise/ Leadership

  • Participate in seminars, conventions & organizations relevant to Marketing and Graphic Design, to stay up to date on the latest best practices and techniques.
  • Additional participation in Architecture and School Design events may be required (SMPS, AMA, TSPRA, TASA/ TASB conventions, AIA seminars).

Reports

Graphic Designer II will report to the Creative Services Manager and Marketing Leadership.

Physical Demands

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
