Job Description:

Job Title: Social Media Analyst

Department: Marketing/Communications

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Seeking a dynamic social media analyst to execute cross-platform data reporting and account governance for company-owned social media. The ideal candidate will have experience with data analytics and visualization tools and a foundational understanding of data pipelines and reporting. The candidate should possess the ability to think fast, communicate clearly, meet deadlines, multi-task, and react with good judgement with alignment to the Hy-Vee brand.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize and analyze data to deliver comprehensive reports and dashboards to identify opportunities for growth or innovation.
  • Craft insightful analysis using data and departmental goals to help report findings, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Establish measurement frameworks and benchmarking systems to assess effectiveness.
  • Facilitate various report requests as assigned, including but not limited to sentiment reports, campaign reports, monthly combined organic and boosted performance reports, platform reports, etc.
  • Research and track competitor performance to provide strategic storytelling with data.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data.
  • Lead on maintaining and auditing and tracking configurations changes in social media management systems.
  • Provide social media account access and account governance for individuals and groups across the company.
  • Provide corporate, legal and platform social media governance.
  • Maintain and augment Sprinklr Social Media Publishing tool to align with company goals.
  • Create reports, presentations and resource documents for internal and external marketing teams.
  • Track monthly follower growth for all Hy-Vee social media platforms.
  • Report to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, manage and optimize company-owned social media accounts to align with company goals.
  • Support Hy-Vee corporate and local marketers and Customer Care teams with best practices and Sprinklr training.
  • Create and provide training on engagement and reporting dashboards for Sprinklr users.
  • Collaborate with Paid Media and agency partners to align on ad account management.
  • Assist in Google Analytics reporting.
  • Assist with managing Meta and Pinterest invoicing.
  • Review and recommend new features, software, data, publishing or project management tools.
  • Translate business needs into documented processes.
  • Stay current on social media trends and platform developments.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in data analytics, computer science, business, social media with focus on data analytics or related field.
  • 5+ years previous related work experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, and Google Analytics as well as other paid social media tools.
  • Highly experienced with major social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Threads.
  • Experience as system admin on Sprinklr or other social media management system preferred.
  • Ability to use tools to clean, organize and validate raw data.
