About the Role
The Research team is looking for a researcher who will proactively shape insights and innovation with our Customer Experience & Integrity team. CXI at DoorDash is a broad team that includes the domains of Support, Fraud, Trust, Safety, and Internal Tools.
This role is designed to cut across all of our audiences - Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants and internal customers. With your bird’s eye view across the entire company, you will be responsible for understanding both audience-specific and cross-audience needs. You will be afforded broad autonomy to lead the space, choose the most impactful projects, and play a key role as THE voice of the customer with cross-functional partners.
You will be working alongside Product Management, Product Design, Content Design, as well as our Strategy and Operations, and Product Marketing teams. If you are passionate about research and being part of this dynamic team, this role is for you!
You will report directly to the Head of Research within our Product organization. This role is hybrid, 1-2 days a week working from one of our Design hubs.

We're excited about you because…
- You have 7+ years of demonstrable experience in qualitative / quantitative research and/or product, UX, or user research, including writing and analyzing surveys.
- You can define research questions and scope, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
- You can proactively work with several functions across the company.
- You are passionate about translating findings into creative and strategic recommendations.
- You excel in a dynamic environment.
- You have an advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or a related research or scientific field (While this is preferred, it is not required).
Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
$148,200 — $218,000 USD
