to join its Content Revenue Team. The

Senior Marketing Specialist, Content Revenue,

is responsible for strengthening audience growth and engagement while generating revenue for a full suite of products. Primary responsibilities include developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns to expand circulation, marketing content products across platforms, and overseeing the reporting and analysis of on and offline marketing programs. This role supports the creation, promotion, and maintenance of Chronicle products, including but not limited to subscriptions, store items, and events, as well as subscriber benefits and support of new audience growth objectives and programs. This is a hybrid role requiring two days a week in the DC office. What’s in it for you? 24 PTO Days + Company Holidays 401K with Company Contribution & Profit Sharing Tuition Assistance And more What you’ll do: Work within the marketing team and across departments to develop and execute innovative integrated marketing campaigns that reach targeted audiences through email, direct mail, social media, and online channels. Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with content revenue colleagues to optimize promotion of store products and subscriptions to boost revenue. Manage content products through a digital storefront, including adding and updating product listings, uploading images and copy, and tracking inventory and sales against budget. Draft copy and create email programs for subscription and product email marketing. This requires close coordination with the content revenue, design, editorial, and operations teams. Compile reports to monitor marketing efforts through data collection and analysis. Update reports on a weekly and monthly basis for revenue, sales, and email performance using data from Shopify, Marketo, Adobe, and other platforms. Create and optimize subscription and product e-commerce pages, leveraging tests of copy, design, terms, pricing, and other elements. Develop and execute strategies to raise average order value and customer lifetime value through testing of product bundles, small-team licenses, lifecycle journeys, and other means. Grow engagement of all audience segments by managing multi-channel campaigns focused on driving new account registrations and growing awareness of reader account benefits. Contribute marketing campaign strategies focused on the reactivation of unengaged non-registrants, registrants, and expired or cancelled subscribers with the goal of increasing the marketable universe for all business lines. Create and distribute surveys designed to gauge reader feedback, including documenting and sharing response data. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications and three years of digital and/or direct marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with digital marketing, content writing, and production of virtual events preferred. Experience with digital marketing, content management, and analytics platforms, such as Blueconic, Marketo, Iterable, Shopify, Tableau, Brightspot, and Adobe Analytics preferred. Robust understanding of digital marketing strategies, including through email, social media, direct mail, and other channels. Strong organizational, time-management, and data-analysis skills. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple streams of work to meet deadlines. Strong work ethic, persistence and an entrepreneurial spirit. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms, such as BlueConic, Marketo, Brightspot, and Adobe Analytics. Starting salary for this role is commensurate with experience ($64,000 - $69,000).
