Job Description
Chimera Enterprises International Inc. is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to provide strategic Advisory and Assistance Service (A&AS) training development support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) On-Site Inspection and Building Capacity Directorate’s Building Partner Capacity (BP) Department. This position is at Fort Belvoir, VA, and requires an active SECRET clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating on existing training programs and blended learning implementation strategies.
- Providing quality assurance and control on design plans and instructional materials.
- Creating professional level presentation and training materials.
- Regularly participating in meetings requiring close interactions with various project stakeholders (government clients, SMEs, and end users).
- Performing needs and/or gap analysis to determine training needs.
- Tracking work and schedules to ensure that work is completed within scheduling parameters.
- Providing instruction.
- Producing quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Must be basic Instructional Design certified (e.g., Association for Talent Development Instructional Design Certificate or equivalent), a minimum of five (5) years of experience applying adult learning theories and models (e.g., Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model), and developing instructor led training (ILT) and e-learning curriculum development,
or
- Possess an undergraduate degree in Instructional Design from an accredited institution, a minimum of three (3) years of experience applying adult learning theories and models (e.g., Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model), and developing instructor led training (ILT) and e-learning curriculum development.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the DOD and with other federal agencies is required.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of e-learning software (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, etc.).
Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance
Travel:
- This position may require up to 10% travel throughout the United States or OCONUS.
Telework:
- Available, as approved by the government.
