About the Role

The Publisher Marketing Role at NewsBreak is a critical position that bridges technology, content licensing, and community building. This role requires a candidate who can fluently speak tech, possesses a background in content licensing with a data-driven growth mindset, and has a personality capable of fostering and growing a community. In this role, you will be responsible for scaling NewsBreak's Self Service Publisher Platform awareness and driving new growth from publishers, particularly at the local level, and other content creators.

Responsibilities: Manage Marketing Campaigns :

Execute impactful promotional and lifecycle marketing campaigns to improve publisher engagement and retention. Refine Referral Programs: Play a key role in developing and improving a referral program aimed at expanding our publisher base. Innovate with Unconventional Methods: Ideate, test, and scale unique growth hacking and guerrilla marketing strategies to create buzz and attract new local publishers. Create Engaging Content: Produce high-quality content, including case studies, white papers, blogs, to showcase the strengths of our publisher platform and enhance user experience. Drive Awareness: Run promotional campaigns to increase industry awareness of NewsBreak's Self Service Publisher Platform. Collaborate for Success:Work closely with external partners to scale publishing business, and to create compelling success stories and case studies. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in the media tech, content licensing and/or digital marketing sectors. Data-driven: Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into action. Entrepreneurial Spirit : A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and eager to take initiative. Experimentation-Led: A penchant for testing and optimizing to find the best solutions and eager to experiment with unconventional and cost-effective tactics to increase visibility and interest in our platform. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly across teams including product, marketing, and account management. Experience: Prior experience with a self service or similar platform. Strong background in onboarding, paid conversion, retention, and referral growth in a similar industry. Nice to have

Viral Marketing Savvy: Understanding of the mechanisms behind virality in content and campaigns. Experience working with content publishers. Creative design experience with video or similar formats. Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
