$80,000 Annually: Additional compensation may be considered based on experience.

Job Overview:

The Communications Director for the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office assists in all communications and public relations efforts, advancing public awareness and understanding of the office's mission to serve justice and protect the community. This individual will help develop and execute strategic messaging across traditional and digital media platforms, while fostering relationships with the community, media, and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will embody the office's values of fairness, integrity, transparency, and service to the public.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Communications and Public Relations Management (50%) •Develop and implement communications strategies to convey the Prosecutor's Office mission and key initiatives. •Day-to-day operations of public information/communications program •Produce print and digital media content, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and annual reports. •Ensure consistent and accurate representation of the Prosecutor's Office's work through branding and messaging. •Plan and manage public events, educational campaigns, and community outreach initiatives to promote the office's efforts. •Collaborate with leadership and staff to highlight newsworthy achievements and activities.

Media Relations (40%) •Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets. •Draft and distribute press releases, respond to media inquiries, and assist in arranging press conferences and other media events as needed. •Act as a spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office when authorized.

Digital Content Management (10%) •Assist with and update the Prosecutor's Office website, ensuring accessible and accurate information for the public. •Assist in creating and managing multimedia content to engage with the community on social media and digital platforms. •Monitor digital trends to identify new opportunities for outreach and communication.

Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. •At least three years of experience in a communications or public relations role. •Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be substituted for the above.
