CNN seeks a talented Sr. Writer to join the team!

Your Role Accountabilities...

  1. Senior Writer serves as the lead writer for the show team. They also fill in for copyeditor and producers, each of our writers is required to produce a high volume of work on a daily basis.
  2. The Sr. Writer is the lead writer for the show team and a back-up copy editor for the shows they work on.
  3. They are responsible for completing a heavy load of writing assignments, generally the most important or complex stories. This involves taking a producer's instructions, formatting the script, viewing appropriate graphics and video, and finding relevant source information.
  4. The Sr. Writers also helps to train upcoming writers.
  5. Early hours are required for this position.

Your Qualifications & Experience…

  1. College degree preferred.
  2. 5 years of experience as a full-time writer in broadcast news, major market.
