Job Description:

Summary:

The Content Editor/Writer works within the Brand and Creative team to edit and refine supplied web copy generated by our internal clients and/or AI to ensure it accurately reflects our brand, the product, and the locations in which we build communities throughout the country. Working closely with the Content Strategy Managers, Copywriters, Proofreader, and other members of the Marketing team, the Content Editor/Writer will review a high volume of home/product descriptions; edit/generate city, state, and metro spotlight copy for our website and blog; and assist in the brainstorming and coordination of community naming efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and refine product descriptions for publication on our website and various third-party real estate platforms
  • Proofread, edit, and provide copy support of other supplied copy for accuracy and consistency within the style guidelines
  • Collaborate with our Content Management and Architectural Marketing teams by providing feedback for prompt engineering of AI-generated content
  • Edit and/or generate product, location messaging ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand voice
  • Participate in community and other naming brainstorming efforts and finalize presentations for approval
  • Provide real-time grammar and style support to internal clients during normal working hours
  • Develop a strong grasp of company's style and brand voice
  • Be well-versed in the company's brand, its 60+ markets, and its buyer segments
  • Possess a passion for language and communicating the company's brand story

Qualifications:

-Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years professional experience in editing and/or writing
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment
  • Experience working within style guidelines and familiarity with AP Style
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with having a dialogue with internal clients at various levels

  • Experience editing AI-generated copy
  • Prompt engineering
