Founded by CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan in 2019, AEW is offering an alternative to mainstream wrestling, with a roster of world-class talent that is injecting new spirit, freshness and energy into the industry. “AEW: Dynamite” airs every Wednesday from 8-10 p.m. ET on TBS and attracts the youngest wrestling audience on television. “AEW: Collision” airs every Saturday from 8-10 p.m. ET on TNT. AEW’s multi-platform content also includes “Being the Elite,” a weekly behind-the-scenes YouTube series, and “AEW Unrestricted,” a weekly podcast series.

SUMMARY

AEW is currently seeking a Producer/Editor Consultant to join our Post-Production Team in Nashville on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for long-form editing shows, packages, features, on-air promos, and digital content. This Producer/Editor should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently with limited oversight. The role combines keen attention to detail, sound judgment, a desire to create compelling content, offer fresh ideas and creative solutions to any problems that arise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Generating creative ideas to help support Dynamite, Collision, Ring of Honor, Road to, Countdown, and social and digital initiatives
  2. Long-form editing on AEW’s weekly global broadcast television show(s), features, series, and digital content
  3. Produce and edit feature material for LIVE pay per views and special events
  4. Research and produce background information for relevant feature content to develop a fresh and creative approach to every new project
  5. Re-focus and prioritize work in a live television environment based on show needs under time constraints
  6. Ability to brainstorm, conceptualize, and utilize superior writing skills to present multiple concepts for each assignment
  7. Ownership and overall responsibility from conception to delivery of all assignments
  8. Complete assigned projects on time and within budget
  9. Keep current with All Elite Wrestling’s programs, talent, storylines and products
  10. Communicate concepts, and any unforeseen changes, to graphics designers, audio and supervise execution, liaising between post-production and key staff to help maintain an accurate content workflow
  11. Handle multiple projects at one time and meet strict deadlines
  12. Manage and build relationships inside and outside the department
  13. Additional responsibilities as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must reside in Nashville
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience preferred
  3. 5+ years of experience Avid editing, writing and producing at for a broadcast or cable television network or an ad agency
  4. Understanding of all phases of pre-production, production and post-production management
  5. Demonstrate time management, communication and organizational skills
  6. Ability to multitask, creatively problem-solve, and work well under pressure
  7. Strong visual sense
  8. Ability to work in live television environment under short time constraints
  9. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  10. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  11. Must possess an expert level of Avid Media Composer and digital workflows, including deliverables.
  12. Preferred: Knowledge of Avid Nexis Client Manager, File management, and Adobe After Effects
