Day to day A client in the aerospace and defense industry is looking to add a Senior RF design engineer to their team on site in Orlando, FL. This person will be responsible for designing and developing RF components and systems such as antennas, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and filters. This person will be responsible for conducting RF simulations and modeling to predict performance. This person will also be troubleshooting existing designs and addressing issues. They will be conducting RF testing and troubleshooting using advanced measurement equipment like network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators. The work schedule is Monday - Friday in office
Job Description Design and Development: Lead the design and development of RF components and systems, which may include antennas, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and filters. Conduct RF simulation and modeling to predict performance and optimize design, if required by the design. Support efforts for existing designs when there is troubleshooting required from manufacturing and when there are obsolescence issues. Develop detailed specifications and documentation for RF systems and components. Understand and design to meet EMC/EMI and environmental requirements. Testing and Validation: Create and implement test plans for RF systems and components, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. Perform RF testing and troubleshooting using advanced measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators. Be familiar with RF Test automation and best practices. Analyze test data and refine designs as needed to meet performance criteria. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and mechanical engineers, to integrate RF systems into overall product designs. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and MFG technicians. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product transition from design to production. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technology and incorporate relevant innovations into design practices.
