Job purpose

The entry-level Marketing Associate position assists with content creation and desktop publishing related assignments, and produces brand-aligned social media graphics. The ideal candidate will also manage pricing structures in our ERP system, handle sales quotes, and monitor market trends for pricing strategies. The Marketing Associate will assist in preparing for trade shows, standardizing marketing materials, and ensuring adherence to pricing policies.

Duties and responsibilities

    • Content Creation: Craft engaging and on-brand copy for social media, marketing materials, and campaigns.
    • Content Optimization – ensure content is optimized for search engines and ranks well in search results.
    • Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and manage content across social platforms, ensuring consistent engagement and growth.
    • Visual Design: Create eye-catching graphics that align with brand guidelines for digital and print use.
    • Campaign Performance: Track and analyze marketing campaign metrics to inform future strategies.
    • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends to recommend competitive pricing strategies and identify new opportunities.
    • Trade Show Support: Assist in planning and executing trade show logistics, including booth setup and material preparation.
    • Marketing Material Standardization: Ensure all materials are consistent, high-quality, and aligned with our brand voice and guidelines.
    • Additional duties may include:
      • Create and maintain customer pricing structure in ERP including customer sales quotes and price lists
      • Provide pricing reports as directed by management
      • Ensure employees follow the established pricing policies
      • Gather and report on competitive pricing information
      • Manage rebate agreements, calculate earned rebates and coordinate payment
      • Maintain sales rebate agreements, contacts and expense approval records
      • Serve as the subject matter expert for all pricing functionality in ERP system
      • Issue special quotes and monitor quote activity to ensure customer compliance
      • Participate in the research and validation of price discrepancies
      • Assist in sales order entry as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Marketing or Social Media Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and familiarity with social media management platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to track and interpret marketing data.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Results-oriented and solution-focused with a problem-solving attitude.
  • A team player who is adaptable, creative, and eager to learn.
  • Understanding brand management and ability to design within the confines of corporate brand requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities and this position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
