ABOUT YOU: As the Radio Systems Manager, you will leverage advanced technical proficiency to oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Public Safety Communications systems, demonstrating proactive problem-solving abilities to preemptively address issues. You will utilize strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies. With a strategic approach, you will ensure seamless migration to new systems, manage vendor relationships, and uphold compliance with regulatory standards while fostering collaboration to meet operational needs and promote interoperability within the broader emergency communication ecosystem. What you will do: Ensure oversight of the administration, maintenance, and service of the Authority's Public Safety Communications environment. Make sure systems run efficiently, optimized, and utilized correctly. Interface with all Authority Operating units to meet their radio communications needs. Manage representation and communication with stakeholders including Motorola, FCC, partner agencies, and vendors for policy, issue resolution, and emergency communications. WHAT YOU OFFER: Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or equivalent professional experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills. 7+ years’ experience in systems maintenance, operations, end-user support, with expert-level knowledge of 800MHz trunked and conventional radio technology. Current and valid driver’s license. Proficiency in data communications protocols, IBM compatible PCs, common peripherals, and Motorola systems (XTS/XTL/APX radios, CPS, UASI radios), with expertise in 800 MHz trunked system configuration.
