Justin Chart Music is hiring: Music Manager in Los Angeles

I currently work for Justin Chart (Jazz Musician) currently signed to Universal Music Group who is in need of a manager. You must have some experience in the Music Industry or have other connections to music venues, talent bookers, etc.

He is looking for someone that is reliable and well-spoken. This would be a contract position from 6 months to a year, and if you work well with Justin, he might make it a yearly contract.

You would be paid by percentage (to be negotiated) for every show you book for him.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Booking Justin's shows regularly with his rates (to be discussed during the interview)
2. Communicating for Justin to talent bookers, venues, etc.
3. Helping with PR/publicity
4. Ensuring Justin is not double booked and gets to each show accordingly

These are the main ones, but as a music manager, your goal is to always make sure your artist is getting paid and booked.

Qualifications

Preferred but not required: a degree in music, music industry, or music management.

• At least 1 year in the music industry with event promotion, booking, etc.
• Must have a reliable car
• Must have a computer
• Be comfortable using spreadsheets
• Must be able to write professional and grammatically correct emails
• Be easy to work with (no drama)
