Description: As a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Technician, you will help client bring electronic designs to market by providing high quality design and layout review and analysis services to internal R&D customers. This position is an integral part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team working on the latest R&D designs with a focus on high quality designs and aggressive time-to-market scheduling.
Job Qualifications: Strong desire to work in the electronics field and grow technical skill Ability to understand PCA/B design guidelines & standards (Do's & Don'ts) Proficiency in MS Office & Adobe Tools Effectively multi-task multiple designs Successfully communicate with cross functional department representatives (Planning, Procurement, R&D Engineering) Adhere to schedules and department policies Work as part of a team to achieve department goals
Requirements: Experience/Familiarity with or Willingness to learn the following: PCB/A Manufacturing processes and design needs PCB/A component spacing and copper design rules Documentation requirements for PCB/A fabrication. Documentation Control Systems, Enovia/Matrix-One (or similar) Siemens/Mentor Graphics Validation tools: Valor (11.x), Genesis (PCB fabricators use this to check data) PCB/A design review of RF, uWave, High Density & Mixed Technology Designs Basic Electrical Circuit Theory PCA/PCB -Design/Layout (3 years experience - simple layouts might be ideal) Technician who has worked turning on PCA/PBCs and troubleshoots errors to fix Willing to learn and eager to learn new things. Confident to ask questions to really understand the position or question the processes Attention to detail
