Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Product Innovation and Design to lead and oversee product innovation and design across all categories and product types. This critical role will be responsible for shaping the brand's product identity, driving industrial design, color material and finish, as well as leading product innovation. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, leadership experience, and the ability to establish and evolve the brand's design DNA across all product lines and platforms.
Key Responsibilities Lead product innovation and design efforts across all product categories and types, ensuring a cohesive and innovative visual identity. Establish and evolve the brand's visual DNA across product lines and platforms. Drive consumer-right product innovation to maintain the brand's global leadership in creativity and invention. Develop and implement strategic approaches to product differentiation through design choices, including form, function, materials, color, and finishes. Lead and drive design excellence for both hard and soft goods. Proactively scale and structure the Design team to meet the needs of a growing global brand. Collaborate across departments to communicate design direction and brand perspective clearly and effectively. Inspire and engage teams with a visionary outlook for the future of the brand's product and identity. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading design initiatives in consumer products. Extensive experience with product innovation, from concept through execution. Strong leadership experience in scaling and managing design teams in a fast-growing environment. Expertise in form, function, material, color, and finish differentiation to drive brand strategy. Deep understanding of sports, fitness, style, fashion, and food/beverage trends. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field is required. A master's degree or MBA is preferred. Compensation
Base salary range: $260,000 - $280,000 Performance-based bonus available Equity compensation package available Location Seattle, WA (with global travel requirements).
