This position supports the various internal Business Units such Sears Home Services, Information Technology, Facilities & Construction, Sears, Kmart, and Sears Logistics.)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director, Procurement is accountable for category management, sourcing strategy and the procurement process for multiple procurement spend categories. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing our procurement operations to adapt to the ever-evolving business landscape, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies while maintaining high service quality. The key objectives of this position are 1) to offer market insights, thoughtful analysis and solid business advice to meet ever-changing business needs; 2) to build trusted relationships with our business partners; 3) to continually hone one's sourcing and category expertise, applying that knowledge to every initiative and ensuring that Company assets are leveraged for maximum benefit; 4) develop, implement and effectively manage relevant supply bases to minimize cost while ensuring required service quality and supplier performance; and 5) to develop innovative solutions to complex business problems.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Business Administration (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) or Engineering.
- 7+ years leading Strategic Sourcing Marketing portfolios and 10+ years of Strategic Sourcing and supplier relations experience.
- Experience in performance, affiliate and email marketing required
- Hands-on strategic negotiation experience and Marketing category management experience.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools for campaign execution and tracking a plus.
- Must have both quantitative and qualitative market research experience.
- Ability to interpret and utilize key financial data; can tell a story with data.
- Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
- A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment using change management to coach others.
- Have a proactive, forward-thinking, and solutions-focused mindset. This includes the ability to anticipate problems, recognize the broader implications of issues.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment of tight turnarounds.
- Demonstrated comfort level with ambiguity.
- Proven track record of high-value, complex deal-making successes with the ability to professionally navigate through difficult conversations to obtain buy-in.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently but also able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented department.
- Business, legal and financial acumen to communicate and develop integrated sourcing strategies.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to work as a team member.
- Advanced skills in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint to analyze and pivot data, design workflows, graphs, and charts
