JOB SUMMARY:
The Design Quote Specialist will be responsible for creating designs and quotes for Healthcare, Animal Health, or Dental environments by harmonizing the clinical space, workflow, and technology. Responsible for working closely with customers, distributors, and the Midmark salesforce to create designs, drawings, specifications, and quotes.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
Associates degree in Interior or Architectural Design field. 2-3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Design Quote Specialist will be responsible for creating designs and quotes for Healthcare, Animal Health, or Dental environments by harmonizing the clinical space, workflow, and technology. Responsible for working closely with customers, distributors, and the Midmark salesforce to create designs, drawings, specifications, and quotes.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Creates spaces, designs, and quotes customized for customer needs
- Provides professional customer interface with customers, architects, dealers, and salesforce
- Develops project specifications and pricing, manages changes and revisions, and assures quotes are ready to order
- Designs validation against construction, architectural and design plans, adhering to building codes and ADA requirements
- Manages work of all sizes, single rooms, facilities, or multi-floor hospitals
- Leads/conducts live design sessions with architects, designers, executives, and decision-makers
- Educates, coaches, and consults with architects, facility planners, and sales teams
- Manages multiple requests, tasks, and deadlines
- Utilizes 3D software in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensures Midmark's compliance with ISO9002 procedures and guidelines
- Trains Midmark salesforce and teammates on departmental processes
- Supports and implements MPS principles and theme work
- Collaborates with cross-functional Midmark teams, as needed
- Prepares shop orders for manufacturing if applicable
- Modifies engineering drawings by developing additional drawings that depict the cutting, bending, and shaping of components for the assembly of the final product, if applicable
Associates degree in Interior or Architectural Design field. 2-3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical knowledge in 2D and 3D drawing tools, rendering, etc.
- Quoting and pricing knowledge
- Knowledge of local and federal building codes and regulations
- Ability to accurately read architectural floor plans and bid documents
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize to achieve timely results
- Project management skills
- Microsoft tools comfortable with technology
- Problem-solving skills
