Job Description: Marketing Tier 1 Initiatives PMO (Program Management Office)
Position Title: Head of Global Marketing PMO
Department: Marketing
Location: Remote
Reports to: VP, Marketing Operations, and Analytics
Overview: 8x8 is going through a major transformation, and we need your help! As the global marketing lead for PMO, this role is a vital force within the marketing organization, driving the success of our top initiatives as we rethink our web, brand, storytelling strategies and operational efficiencies. This dynamic role involves optimizing and tracking Tier 1 programs and project performance, ensuring that every milestone is met on time and with precision. In this role you'll manage critical projects from inception thru execution and your contributions will be key to delivering high-priority projects on time, and to the highest quality standards, making a significant impact on the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Reimagine how we work across the marketing teams
- Help us build for scale, while driving operational efficiency:
- Create and drive cross functional workstreams/project plans for Tier 1 initiatives
- Build and track project progress thru project status reports.
- Align with cross-functional teams and coordinate with functional project managers
- Build a tiered model for Marketing prioritization
- Focus on top initiatives with the largest impact to the business
- Discover and eliminate duplicative work
- Prepare and distribute project documentation
- Identify potential risks and challenges to delivery, implementing risk management strategies to proactively mitigate issues and minimize disruptions
- Operationalize organizational change management initiatives, aligning with marketing leadership to support, and champion desired business outcomes
- Communicate the impact effectively on behalf of all levels, from individual contributors to the highest leadership levels
- Collaborate with Marketing Leaders to help define and operationalize stakeholder management and engagement on high priority initiatives
- Facilitate effective communication within the project teams and with stakeholders
- Deliver project management standards and best practices
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Deliver standardized PMO processes and templates
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master's Degree in Business or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
- Experience:
- 10+ years experience of progressive responsibility in marketing PMO or related functions
- Experience creating and scaling a marketing PMO
- Enterprise-level marketing organization experience
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing project requirements.

The compensation range reflects the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
Salary Ranges:
$158,625.00 - $264,375.00
